First of all I love the warm orangy and yellowy colours as they resemble autumn really well and they make it seem quite warm still, so not summer but not quite winter either.
I love the way the trees have all got straight tree trunks because it makes it seem really regular and gives a nice visual effect. I also like the way the road curves round and you can still see the pattern of the trees because it makes you feel curious as to what is around the corner.
And finally I like the way you've left the top of the trees in the photo because it gives the picture something in the foreground for you to look at, then it kind of leads your eyes back to the rest of the photo.
The only thing I can think of that is wrong with this photo is that I have seen a few photos similar to it in the past.
The sheer richness of this photo is stupendous. It's a classic storybook illustration of fall - the colors are mind-blowing. The location was perfect, you caught just the right mix of colors to really give a deep impression of autumn. Also, the way the lines of tree trunks add dark stalks down the entire picture adds great contrast. This is very well composed and speaks volumes - it's a slice of life, a little red riding hood tale with the road. So much metaphor and meaning could be drawn from this. There really is no major fault with this picture. The only thing one could think of is perhaps the fact that there are bushes on the right and not the left, but that is circumstancial and a minor detraction - in fact, in a way it even adds to the picture. Overall, this looks so perfect it's hard to believe it wasn't painted.
